Canadian eh!
I have had a few people post about our site that we are American! We are proudly Canadian eh! Nothing against the American's but WE ARE CANADIAN!
What are you guys doing for Canada Day on Saturday?
Man I am in rough shape!
Well I had a very busy weekend. I wasn't feeling the best on Friday. I had been having chest pains the whole day and on and off a few days prior. Saturday morning I woke up and was feeling like crap. Jon had left the night before to go to work (hasn't been working all month). I had to take the kids to a screening of CARS at South Common which was a good movie but I was having chest pains throughout the whole movie. So, finally I whipped th kids out of the theatre to avoid the mob right when the credits were about to start. I zipped over the medi-center across the street from Grey Nuns Hospita. Now I am feeling lightheaded and starting to feel sick. I got in to the doctor immediately but took me 15-20 minutes in the room to wait for him (Health Care System suks ~ don't get me started on that one Ralphie). The doctor seemed very nice. He asked me if I had been sick during the week. Well I had. I have had a ough (not a bad one) and a runny nose as well as a sore throat earlier in the week. He said I had a very bad viral infection when he listened to my heart and checked me out. He said all the symptons are the same as a heart attack that I was having because my lungs were filled with mucous and my heart is working harder. So he gave me ventilin to clear things up. I tell you I have absolutely no energy and have visited the bathroom every 20 minutes for the last 3 days. I am not supposed to go help at B's track meet in an hour and a half. How am I going to manage that all day with no toilet and 30+ degree weather. Jon isn't home until tonight. I am so thankful that my good pal Sheryl came over on Saturday night to take care of me because I gave a few people a scare. When she was over she folded my laundry, read to my kids and tucked them in. What a pal. Thanks Sheryl!

Who's up for a RAK?
I have a bunch of stuff up for grabs that I am getting rid of. This could be my stuff that I just won't use anymore, leftovers of sticker sheets, left over embellishments that I doubt I will need, etc... I have a 12x12 baggie of stuff. So my question is......
When did I start Love 2 Scrap? month, day & year.
The closest person gets the RAK. I am leaving this open for the next 2 days. I will let you know Monday. Please leave your answer in the comments.
Well it looks like Peama (Donna) was the closest. Love 2 Scrap has been around since January 21st, 2003. Thanks everyone for the guesses! Donna I have your bag of goodies with your order.

Did you ever have?
...that favorite toy you remember from your past that you find now and wonder what ever happened to mine?
I came across A Fisher Price Baby Ann Doll and a Fisher Price My Baby Beth doll. I had both. I got my Baby Ann doll when I was 4 or 5 and remember her until I was at least 8 or 9. After that I don't remember what happened to her. I loved that doll so much! She endured a house fire with me and even moving to Edmonton from down south. I got my Baby Beth doll when I was about 8. I still have her. She sits on a shelf in my office.
I still have my Dancerella doll too. The brunette ballerina (mine somehow never worked).
Anyways, I found the Baby Ann doll a few years back on eBay and have her in my office as well. Childhood memories!

We made it 8 years!
We made it 8 years now! Our anniversary was on Tuesday. We went to The Keg for dinner which was nice. We love it there. It was there that we had our families meet for the first time and planned our wedding.
Thanks to Nikki for watching the rugrats for us so we could go! Jon is not very photogenic. He never smiles for the camera but man does he ever have nice teeth when you can see them!
Thanks Heidi!
Well Heidi Swapp was on our site chatting last night and we had a blast! She was so funny! She doesn't do a lot of chats so we are honoured to have had her on our site! She was chatting from the Apple store at the mall. Too funny!
Thanks to everyone who came to chat. We had more people than we thought on our site at one time. We had 80 people chatting, 200+ on the site checking out the shopping and tons of people on the Gallery. Sorry to all the people who were registered and reading the chat but could not post. We were swamped on the site and did not expect such a high turnout!
Thanks again to all of you. We are working on some more great chats with some cool designers! Stay tuned!
A special thanks to Jodi (my buddy at Heidi Swapp) for sending us some prizes for our site. We have our Heidi Swapp Layout Contest on right now an whoever wins that contest will get this super cool prize pack from Heidi Swapp! It is the Born Free Coordinating Project Set. I have never seen it here in Canada and I don't know if they sell them or if it is exclusive or not. It says there is a $45 US value. Inside you will get:
- 9x9 papers (4 each of 6 designs)
- chipboard alphas (1 set of blue ~ 1 set of white)
- designer photo corners (8 each of 3 designs)
- Borne Free Tape (3 yards each of 4 designs)
- fuzzy rub-ons
- chipboard stars (3 each of 2 sizes)

Tough battle lost
Well the Hurricanes won the cup as everyone knows now. The Oilers fought a great battle. The 7th game was not their best game and I know if it was on home turf that things would have been different. The Oil was down one goal and then pulled their goalie in the 3rd to lose the series and the cup 3-1. It was a great game and the Hurricanes out played us in the 7th game.
Congratulations to the Hurricane's. They have 4 hometown boys from here on their team so that was okay to see. I am sure it was strange for some of them to be playing against their hometown team for the cup.
Congratulations goes out to Cam Ward (Sherwood Park boy) for winning the Conn Smythe Trophy.

The Oil Came Back...
to kick the Hurricane's 4-3 in overtime. It was probably the best game I have seen in a very long time. The Oilers came back and showed who they were. They played a wonderful game as did Carolina. So glad to be back in Edmonton this Saturday for this game. Come on Oil, only 2 more and it is ours.....again!

Hurricanes beat us tonight.....Roloson is out!
Roloson is out now due to a knee injury. He is out of the playoffs. What are we going to do? Our other 2 goalies are green! I hope we don't lose it because of this!
Carolina won tonight 5-4. Oilers should have won as they played a better game than Carolina did.
Hopefully we will come back on Wednesday and reclaim our loss.
The Cup belongs in Canada.
Can you believe these photos?

Funny story...
when Janna and I were in Provo we were at a crop and heard the gals next to us chatting about how they were having a doozy of a time puting eyelets in. Well, Janna went over and showed them the Crop-A-Dile she had. They were instantly hooked on it! They immediately asked how much it cost and said they would pay $60. Janna said no. They kept offering her more until they offered $90. I kept saying "take it, take it". Janna said no. Funny thing was that this Crop-A-Dile was not Janna'. (I knew that!). It was in fact Elizabeth's. Janna was just being a good friend. I said to her, take it and then get her a new one when we get home. I can get one at wholesale price and then you can give her the $117 she would have made. Remember, this is the US and they were offering american money! It was a no go but super funny!
No one had seen a Crop-A-Dile there. They were using it at the We R' Memory Keepers make & take but it was new to everyone. I was kind of shocked considering we were in Utah, the scrapbook capitl and they didn't have them yet.
